I was very dissapointed after all the raves I had heard about it. I found it rather boring apart from one part near the end when my heart decided to go crazy in my chest. So my review of nine is 'Don't go and see it. It will give you a heart attack it's so boring.' or something along those lines.

So I have to go to the doctors on tuesday to make sure that my heart is working properly. I bet they'll want to give me a blood test which seems to be their cure for everything. Not looking forward to that.

We had our practice assesment for acting this morning, which went okay, I think. It was all improvised but I have learnt that I can't rely on what is in my head coming out of my mouth cohesively.

That's all, short entry because I have work to do. Oh the joy.leoniekdhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13129304828903515055noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6712852837435165219.post-55187539079298775722010-01-17T10:49:00.000+00:002010-01-17T10:49:22.197+00:00A couple of exciting days!Well, the last few days have been exciting! On Friday, me and Esther decided to go all the way across London to have lunch at IKEA, which was so worth the waiting for buses and trains. Discovered that I love the dime bar cake there :D And we have now picked out the furniture for our future houses.

We got back to central London just in time for the Legally Blonde ticket lottery...which we didn't win.
We decided to go and see if sister act had any tickets left, but things weren't looking hopeful as it was about 7.00. Turns out that we got the best seats for £25! 6 rows from the front! The show was sooooo good! Definitely would recommend it to everyone.

On Saturday, me and Rachel went dancing at Pineapple. I'd forgotten how unfit I am until about 15 minutes in where I feel like I'm about to pass out. It was a good lesson though and I managed to get all of the choreography learnt. We went to M&S after the lesson to get some food in for the weekend and then got the tube home.

When we got back to the flat all the lights in the corridor were really dim and only one of the lifts was working. Turns out that the electric has gone and there is no heating, internet, hot water or anything! (bearing in mind I had just been to an intense dance lesson so I was lovely and gross) I was completely lost for things to do as my whole life depends on technology to work. So I went to sleep for a couple of hours.

When I woke up it was dark. And my phone was somewhere in the room where I had put it down while it was still light. After searching for my phone for a while I sat down and listened to my Ipod for about 30 seconds before deciding that the best thing to do in the situation was to go to mcdonalds.

Rachel and I walked all the way to the Mcdonalds in Brentford for dinner as the ovens are electric, so we couldn't cook at home. We spent two hours there wishing we had our laptops with us so we could use the free wi-fi. While we were talking we came to the conclusion that power cuts are no longer fun because we are grown ups. Instead of lighting candles and telling scary stories, we are in mcdonalds worrying that the posh M&S food we got earlier is going to go off and be a waste of a tenner.

We got home to be told that the electric isn't going to be coming on again any time soon, so we have to move into another block of flats for a while, where I am now. We had to take all the essentials: duvet, pillow, sheets, tea making equipment, laptop, hair stuff and makeup. Somehow we forgot to bring clean clothes so I'm going to have to walk across to my flat in my pj's.

leoniekdhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13129304828903515055noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6712852837435165219.post-10073778884299087422010-01-14T19:42:00.000+00:002010-01-14T19:42:43.623+00:00Another day in the life of LeonieToday wasn't especially exciting. I had a 3 hour acting class this morning in a room where the lights are really bright and hurt my eyes. The lesson itself was fun. Hooray for improvisation - no learning lines for me! Almost at the end of the lesson, exactly on schedule, two women came into the hall and sat on a table, watching us finish our lesson. Dave is too nice to tell them to wait outside, but they are so rude. They sit there sighing and looking at their watches like we are taking up their time, when they are the ones that decide to turn up five minutes early every thursday.

Dancing this afternoon was excruciating as usual. I'm sure Emma hates me. She just doesn't understand that I know how the dance moves should go and what correct ballet technique is, but my arms and legs just won't do it! It's so frustrating! I definitely need to take more dance lessons if I'm going to have any change of passing my dance module at the end of this year.

After I got home from dancing I decided, in a moment of madness, that the snow wasn't really that bad and I should go running. As soon as I got to the park where the paths hadn't been gritted I realised my mistake. The place looked like Russia in the winter! The lake was completely frozen and all the other people around were children and parents making snow men. They were also wrapped up in coats and hats and scarves, which was my second mistake. I had decided that I would get far to hot running in a coat, so I went out in just a tank top and jogging bottoms. I have never been so cold in my life! I think I nearly got pneumonia and I had an asthma attack when I got back to my flat. So not cool. And for some reason, after the asthma attack, my body decided to give me hiccups...for a whole hour!

leoniekdhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13129304828903515055noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6712852837435165219.post-62775062147367577422010-01-12T14:56:00.001+00:002010-01-12T14:57:02.330+00:00MorrisonsIts a sad, sad thing that so far the highlight of my day was walking down to Morrisons to go food shopping. And an even sadder thing is that I was actually looking forward to it. And thank goodness for whoever invented backpacks! Why do all of my shopping trips always end up with me buying far too many heavy things without thinking of the walk home.

Going to church in a while to go to my cell group. I'm looking forward to seeing them all again. Once a week is not nearly enough. I estimate that in about an hour my flat mate will come knocking on my door begging me not to go tonight so that I can hang out with some people from my class as the boy who is desperately in love with her is coming too. I will politely decline as I think that four other people for moral support is quite enough.

Another thing, does anyone know where the snow has gone? I was expecting the world to look like the Arctic this morning, but it was just the usual smoggy London landscape.leoniekdhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13129304828903515055noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6712852837435165219.post-39807291780061177092010-01-10T10:17:00.003+00:002010-01-10T10:24:42.780+00:00A Snowy SundayI have decided that it is far too dangerous for myself and everyone around me to venture out into the snow and ice to get to church. On the short trip to the shops last night I almost fell to my death several times, which is not an experience that I wish to repeat.

I have been back at uni for a week now, after breaking up for Christmas, but so far I have only had a day and a half of lessons as most of the week was cancelled due to 'extreme weather'. I was looking forward to having snowball fights and building igloos, but the snow didn't start properly until Friday afternoon. It was a bit of a wasted week, but I got to miss ballet so I'm not complaining.

On another note, isn't it the best feeling when you click on the spell checker and it says 'no mistakes found' well done me!
leoniekdhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13129304828903515055noreply@blogger.com0
